In order to introduce these tops to our VW van community, I am offering to work with anyone who brings their van to Toronto for installation to work with them for the time required to install their top at no charge for my time.

The only costs involved with the instllation would be the cost of the adhesives - about $50.00 - this is an estimate - the actual costs will probably be less than this but you will pay only the actual cost of the adhesives.

I am doing this because as "my time" is "my time" I can decide for myself what I do with it and what I charge for it. I cannot expect others to do the same so this offer is germane specifically only to installs that I will be doing with purchasers/van owners here in Toronto for tops of this initial shipment. This does not apply to installations done elsewhere.

Toronto availability and installation.

There are a few considerations to be taken into account with this. Firstly, I expect the purchaser/van owner to be an active partner with me in doing the install - the tops are not particularly heavy, but they are bulky and it makes the install a 2 person job. Secondly, the time required for the adhesives to set up should be taken into consideration. I would like to allow a 10 - 12 hour set up time before the van is driven as a minimum. Thirdly, I feel that it would be wise to use additional web strapping from side to side, hooked on the rain gutters to doubly secure the top to the van for the first drive home. Curing or set up time is a chemical reaction that is dependant on temperature and humidity to some extent. To eliminate the potential problems associated with slow curing caused by environmental factors on the day of install please come equipped with the appropriate strapping as a "fail safe".

I will provide all necessary tools and the adhesives. Figure on spending 4 to 6 hours working with me to do the install then enjoying Toronto while the adhesives set up.
